History
Ferruccio Lamborghini, born under the zodiac sign of Taurus, founded the famous super car company and gave it the symbol of the fighting bull. When the Miura was introduced, he named the car after a famous breed of fighting bull, and this practice became a tradition for the House of the Bull. Honouring this tradition, the Lamborghini Gallardo is named after the Gallardo breed of fighting bull.

Porsche specialists Tech 9 Motorsport announced their intention to run a brand new Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 in the 2008 Avon Tyres British GT Championship. As one of the most successful European GT race teams, the entry of a Lamborghini came with some surprise, but a welcome entry to give further diversity to a grid that attracted record entry numbers since SRO announced the GT3/GT4 program.
